Neutral Cleaning Supplies
An easy way to add a beauty and elegance to your cleaning routine is with beautiful cleaning supplies. If you need a little motivation to get those chores done, this may just be the thing you need! Everyone has to clean…why not make it beautiful?
Managing a home well takes intentionality and diligence which can be difficult to establish, but well worth it in the end. I recently heard a beautiful quote which has been the cause for much reflection…
Cease endlessly striving to do what you want to do and learn to love what must be done.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Learn to love what must be done. Cleaning is one of those things that simply must be done and I would much rather learn to delight in it rather than begrudge it.

One Quick Tip
Besides choosing beautiful cleaning supplies, I’ve found that creating cleaning rhythms for our home has been immensely helpful. For example, I run the dishwasher every evening and unload it every morning. That way, as we go about our day, I can simply place dirty dishes in the empty dishwasher instead of letting them pile up in the sink. This makes accomplishing my kitchen tasks throughout the day much more pleasant (no piles of dirty dishes to work around) and makes cleanup in the evening much easier.
Kitchen
A kitchen runs well not only when it’s stocked with ingredients, but also with the necessary tools to keep everything clean!
Although I haven’t linked them below, I use and love SKOY dish scrubbies. They work very well and are easy to clean (just pop them in with a load of laundry and then air dry). The only downside is that they only come in a rather bold print and color choice (although they do have a black/white/grey option which is a little better).
Bathroom
Just a quick note about the two different sponges…I like to have a clear definition between the sponge used for the sink and the sponge used for the toilet…hence, the two different shapes.
Also, I recently came across a really amazing natural (homemade) cleaner (not vinegar) that I plan to share more about soon…make sure you’re signed up for my newsletter to hear about it first! You can sign up here!
Laundry Room
I love a pretty laundry room, don’t you? We’ve been using our wool dryer balls for almost two years now and I love them (they also serve as great entertainment for toddlers helping with laundry).
Throughout the Home -Floors, Dusting & More
From mops, to glass spray bottles to fly swatters (yes, even those can look pretty), many of the cleaning items we all use throughout our homes are listed below. I also added a label maker for labeling what’s in those glass spray bottles.
I’ve also included one of my personal favorites…an ostrich feather duster! Not only does it work well and is made with natural materials, it looks darling too! I’ve included two sizes below in case you’re a mom like me and need a little one for your little helpers.
One last note on Vacuum Cleaners. There are a wide variety of vacuum cleaners on the market and each person’s needs are going to differ. I linked one below that is sleek, affordable, and has some great reviews, but I highly encourage you to do your own research and find one that will fit your needs well!
I hope this inspires you to fill your life with beauty, even when it comes to the every day utilitarian tasks.
As always, with love,
Ashlei
